Features and technology
The Subaru Crosstrek gives you two engine options, both of which are naturally aspirated four-cylinder Boxer gas engines. The first of the pair is a 2.0-litre unit that you’ll find under the hoods of the Convenience and Touring versions of the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek. This engine develops 152 horsepower and 145 lb.-ft. of torque, sent to the wheels through a Lineartronic CVT transmission. All other trim levels get the same transmission but add an eight-speed manual mode for a more engaging driving experience. The Only and higher trim levels get a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, providing the Subaru Crosstrek with 182 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. Every Subaru Crosstrek is AWD, and additional features include an electronically controlled multi-plate transfer clutch, hill decent control, hill start assist, and a lock-up torque converter. The trim levels with the eight-speed manual mode transmission have paddle shifters.
